Cevin Leslie Knight of Englehart died suddenly on January 11, 2009. He was born in Englehart on February 21, 1961 to Alice and Gordon Knight. Educated in Englehart, he married Lorraine Germain in Haileybury on May 21, 1983. Mr. Knight worked as a dryer operator at Grant’s Waferboard Plant. He loved life, fishing, the Maple Leafs, hunting and the Blue Jays. He enjoyed his life at the cottage with his children and one-year-old grandchild Mallory. He also loved comedy and to joke, tell stories and be with his family. Mr. Knight is survived by his wife Lorraine; parents Gordon and Alice; children Christopher (wife Dorothy) and Angela; grandchild Mallory; sister Connie (Gene) and brother Chris (Katherine); and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his grandmother Ruth Knight in 1971 and grandfather Les Knight in 1973. The funeral was arranged by McDonald Funeral Home in Englehart with the service conducted at Good Shepherd Church on Wednesday, January 14 at 11 a.m. by Reverend Dr. Mike Vezina. Numerous caring and loving friends and family members attended. In memory contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
