Marcel Richard MALLAIS

Marcel Richard “Hardy” Mallais died January 12, 2009 at the Temiskaming Hospital at the age of 73. Mr. Mallais was a man of many talents. He was a fine entertainer with strong ties to his community. He touched many people’s lives with his music. He was predeceased by his parents Henri Mallais and Marie-Ange Tremblay; and siblings Ronnie and Gerry. Mr. Mallais is survived by and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Germaine (née Desmarais); children Richard, Linda, Jane Fournier, Tracy Millette, Kathy Noyes, Andrew and Margo; grandchildren Elizabeth, Justin, Raymond, David, Eric, Kimberly, Samantha, Joshua, Amy, Mathew, Evan, Brandon and Andrew; great-grandchildren Brandon, Tristan, Haley, Ariawna, Bethany, Ian, Logan and Lyle; and his siblings Romeo, Roger, Patsy, George, Dave and Diane. The Mallais Family will welcome friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15 at 11 a.m. Father John Lemire officiating. Spring interment will take place at the North Cobalt Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
