Frederick Clarence PORTER

PORTER, Frederick Clarence - born September 11, 1927. Went to be with his Lord on October 13, 2004 in Kingman, Arizona. Beloved wife of Ruth (Matthews), father of Peter Porter (Della) of San Bernardino, California and daughter Holly McCarver of Niagara Falls. Survived by grandchildren John Alvarado, Robert and James Porter, Timothy McCarver and Great-granddaughter Alexus Rose. Also survived by brother George Porter (Joan) of Niagara Falls and sisters Helen Read of Niagara Falls and Peggy Irvine of Manitoba. And many nieces and nephews. Fred played semi-pro hockey in 1940's and worked for Ontario Hydro for many years before moving to California where he was employed by Southern California Edison Co. After retirement he moved to San Felipe, Mexico then to Dolan Springs, Arizona. Fred loved nature from Algonquin Park, Ontario to the ocean of Mexico and desert and mountains of Arizona. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His sense of humor will be sadly missed by his friends and family. - 10/21/2004 - ID5042885
