EVANS, Thelma Kathleen (Roach) - Peacefully in her sleep on Thursday October 14, 2004 at the Meadows of Dorchester, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Percy (1971); Cherished mother of Anne (Gordon Wright); Loving gram of Karen (Don Robinson) and Scott (Karen); Loving Great-Gram of Cody and Casey Robinson, and Carling and Taylor Wright, all of Niagara Falls. Also survived by nieces and nephews, and predeceased by her parents, Harry and Mary Roach, and by her brothers, Art and Jack Roach. Born in Stamford Township, Thelma was a resident of Niagara Falls for most of her life. As one of the first teachers of Diamond Jubilee School, she taught for 25 years beginning in 1930. She was also an avid gardener and devoted mother and gram to her family. The Evans family will receive friends at the Morse & Son Family Care Centre, 5929 Main Street (next to the funeral home) from 2-4 pm on Monday afternoon, with a brief service of celebration to be held at 3 o'clock. Cremation to take place with private family interment of the cremated remains at Lundy's Lane Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the C.N.I.B. or the Niagara Falls Humane Society.
