MCARTHUR, James H. (Jim) Peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 28, 2004 at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of Jessie (nee Kingston) with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage on Sunday October 24, 2004. Dearest father of Jeffrey and wife Theresa McArthur, Linda Ann and husband John Van der Heyden, James D. and wife Elizabeth Janet McArthur. Dear son of the late James and Marion McArthur. Loving grandfather of Dennis and wife Allison, Amanda and husband Herman, Gordon and wife Denise, Robert and wife Jennifer, Jeffrey, Christopher, Katie, John and wife Victoria, Anne, James P., Steve and Kate. Beloved great-grandpa to Victoria, Alexandra, Noah and Jasmine. Dear brother of Jessie wife of the late Jerry Bartley, Bunny wife of the late Clayton Slote, John and wife Marion McArthur and the late Peggy McArthur, Bessie Caza, Isabella Parker, Marion Schmidt, Rhoda Hales, Rose Klohs. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was an auditor for Grey Hound bus lines for many years and retired from the Ontario Department of Labour. He served in WWII with the R.C.A.F. attached to the R.A.F. in England, Africa and Italy. He was a member of the first Canadian Radar Men stationed out of Canada during WWII. Jim was a Band Master for 26 years for the 332 and the 364 Air Cadets. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinsons Foundation or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Funeral Sunday 3:00p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Chapel (1-519-969-5841) 2670 Dougall Ave.Windsor. Private family interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
