GREENWALD, Patricia “Ann“ (Hardison) - 76, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully under the tender care of Niagara Hospice on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Ann was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario on September 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Roy and Elsie (Mason) Hardison. As a young woman Ann worked for the Steel Company of Canada in Hamilton, Ontario. On February 27, 1954, she married Kenneth Greenwald in Niagara Falls, Ontario and moved to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina where he was serving in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division. Later Ann was employed as a key punch operator at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls . Ann found great joy in her garden where she spent countless hours with her husband. She enjoyed all aspects of homemaking and was a long time member of Niagara Community Church. She is survived by Kenneth Greenwald, her beloved husband of 55 years, her two daughters, Nancy A. Gagnon (David) of Madison, WI; Barbara Greenwald-Mauldin (Sanford) of Norman, OK; and her son Steven Greenwald (Lori) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Ella Marie Mitchell of Niagara Falls, Ont; Jeanette Wasnidge of Stoney Creek, Ont; a sister-in-law, Isabel Shaffer of Clearwater, FL; three brothers in law, Harold Greenwald of Youngstown; Norman Greenwald (Gwen) of Greenville, SC; David Greenwald (Sharon) of Englewood, FL; four grandchildren, David and Christine Gagnon, Sasha and Jaclyn Greenwald; thirteen nieces and five nephews. Both the visitation and funeral service will be held at the Acacia Park Cemetery Chapel located at 4215 Tonawanda Creek Road North in North Tonawanda. Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:00, with the funeral immediately following at 11:00 AM. The service will be conducted by her son-in-law Rev. David Gagnon and Rev. Daniel Mann of Niagara Community church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
