GEMMA LeBLANC (Nee Brunet) 1923-2004 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Gemma LeBlanc at the Golden Manor Home for the Aged at the age of 81 years. Dear wife of John LeBlanc of the Golden Manor in Timmins. Dearest mother of Jocelyne LeBlanc of Timmins, Andrée Johnson (Roger) of Phoenix, Arizona, Allan LeBlanc of Leduc, Alberta (Francine Theriault) of Timmins, Kenneth LeBlanc of Quebec City, John LeBlanc (Penny) of St. George, Ontario, Robert LeBlanc (Lilly) of Toronto and the late Denis “Chicken” LeBlanc (March 14, 2004). Predeceased by an infant son Joseph as well as an infant daughter Marie. Survived by her daughter in-law Barbara LeBlanc of Edmonton. Grandmother of Maria Goulet (Daniel) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Lisa McNeill (Shane) of Leduc, Alberta, Genevieve LeBlanc of Calgary and Melanie LeBlanc of Kitchener, Ont. Treasured great grandmother of Katrina, Chantelle, Matthew & Michael Goulet of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Lucas McNeill of Leduc, Alberta. Dear sister of Murielle Buteau (René), Omer Brunet (Liza), Thérèse Bastin (Alexis), Claude Brunet (Claudette) all of Quebec City and Jeanne D’Arc Buchanan (Don) of Ottawa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gemma was a loving and caring woman who was devoted to her family. She always placed her children and husband first above anyone or anything. Gemma had a lengthy career of 28 years in the emergency and admitting departments with the St. Mary’s Hospital. She was also a member of LaRonde Cultural Centre for many years and loved to weave. Gemma had been a resident of the Golden Manor since February 10, 2004. A memorial mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2004 from St. Anthony’s Cathedral, Fr. Maurice Magnan officiating. Remembrance donations to the Golden Manor Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. - 12/3/2004 - ID5310492
