Stella ZAPOROZAN

Miss Stella "Zap" Zaporozan April 3, 1927 - April 27, 2009 82 years passed away peacefully after many challenges over the years on April 27, 2009 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus. Survived by her beloved sister Lena Prestanski, Windsor and "Sweetie". Predeceased by parents Anna and Stephen Zaporozan, brother John and his wife Anne, and brother-in-law John Prestanski. Dear "Auntie Stella" of Dennis, Cathy, Carole, Bill and Steve and their families. Stella was a highly regarded nurse for many years, having graduated from Grace Hospital 60 years ago. In true "Zap" fashion, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830). A tree will be planted in the Marcotte Heritage Forest.
