Ruth Emily CONROD

Mrs. Ruth Emily Leslie October 12, 1922 - April 27, 2009 Halifax, passed away on April 27, 2009, in Northwood Centre. Born on October 12, 1922, in Grand Desert, she was a daughter of Mary Jane and Elias Conrod. She was a woman of great faith, loved bowling, crocheting, crafts and going to "T.O.P.S." with her friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; brothers, Reg, Wallace, Bertram, Clyde, Roy, Cameron, Warren; sisters, Roxy, Dora and Lucy. She will be missed by her sister, Lottie (Canning); her children, Linda (Rick), Winnipeg; Jessie (Mark), Lower Sackville; Marilyn (David), Fredericton and David (Rose), New Minas. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, from 12-2 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., all in Atlantic Funeral Home. 125 Sackville Dr. Interment will be in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwood Foundation, the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. Many thanks are extended to the staff of 2C, Northwood Centre for their kindness, warmth and care during Mom's time at Northwood.
