Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnston July 25, 1935 - April 27, 2009 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Jackie Johnston at the age of 73 years on Monday, April 27, 2009 with her family by her side. Jackie was predeceased by her parents Germaine and Dominique Monette. Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Allen of 53 years, and her wonderful children, Dale (Karen) Johnston, Sam (Brian) Young, Deborah (Trevor) Wenzel, Roger (Judy) Johnston and Scott Johnston; brothers Art (Cindy) Monette, Romeo Monette and her sister Sr. Jocelyn Monette. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great grand children, niece’s and nephews. Jackie was born at Lac Pelletier, Saskatchewan, July 25, 1935. She was educated in Gravelbourg. Jackie and Allen moved to Saskatoon in 1955. She worked at the Saskatoon Club for 23 years. Jackie loved family get togethers. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and reading romance novels. Jackie was an Avid Roughrider fan. There will be a viewing on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th street turn right before railway tracks). The celebration of Jackie’s life will be Monday, May 4th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (104 – 2301 Avenue C North, Saskatoon, SK. S7L 5Z5).
