Nellie Florence GRANDEL

Mrs Nellie Florence KLYM (Grandel) September 6, 1927 - April 28, 2009 Nellie passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 peacefully in her sleep. She was born in 1927 to William and Ellen Grandel. She was predeceased by her parents; sister Sadie Winstl; brother Grayden Grandel and husband Michal. Left to mourn Nellie’s passing are her sons Vern (Liz) and Roy (Lois); grandchildren Jason (Kara), Andrea (Scot), Tyler (Sarah), Dustin, and Nolan and great grandchildren Ethan and Avrey, all of Regina; brother Norman (Joan) Grandel of Claresholm, AB; sister-in-law Norma Grandel of Strasbourg, SK; brother-in-law Walter Winstl of Thunder Bay, ON; as well as many nieces, nephews and many good friends. Nellie’s life revolved around her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved very much. Nellie enjoyed curling and golfing until ill health stopped that. She was a member of the Order of Royal Purple, Ladies Legion Auxiliary, Army and Navy Vets and the Serbian Club. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nellie may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917a Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6.
