Mavis Melville Stock b. 29 April, 1913 d. 8 November, 2004 Mavis Stock was a keeper! She was so many things to so many people. But most of all, over her 91 energetic years, she was giving, thoughtful, generous and courageous ñ all wrapped in a warm and personable dignity. She loved her family with a passion, matched only by her love of Canada She will be remembered by family, friends and neighbours for her fun-loving sense of the ridiculous, spiked by a monumental, booming laugh which began as an outburst and then soared, to infect everyone within earshot. She will also be remembered as a proud grandparent to Taylor and Kate and Christiane. Yes, Mavis was a keeper! Her family wishes to invite friends and acquaintances, from near and far, to join them in Celebrating Mavis Stockís Life and Grace on Tuesday, 21 December, 2004 in the welcoming confines of Torontoís First Unitarian Church at 175 St. Clair Ave West at 2:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to participate by presenting, or having read, a favourite memory or anecdote, is welcome to do so.
