BOISVERT, Shelagh Margaret (nee Goodman) In Ottawa on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, after an eight month battle with cancer. Loving partner of Dr. Alan Barlow. Loving mother of Wesley (Donna) and Caprice. Grandma to Madison, Chelsea, and Cameron. Loving sister to William Goodman of Surrey, B.C. Daughter of the late Olafur and Aileen Goodman. Born in Winnipeg on July 27, 1941, she grew up in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia, graduating in 1964 with a major in mathematics and a minor in music.he moved to Vankleek Hill, Ontario in September 1964 and became a math teacher at Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute. She later taught at Plantagenet High School and Rockland District High School, retiring in 1997. After retirement, she continued to tutor students in mathematics, keeping up with changes in the curriculum by attending conferences. She touched the lives of many of her students. She was an accomplished pianist with a great love of classical music. After sewing most of her life, she became an avid quilter in her retirement, and made some close friends through her quilting group. There will not be a visitation or funeral.
