DUNPHY, Charlotte Jean (Ward) - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, (Rogers Street) with her daughter at her side on November 9, 2004. Survived by her loving sole mate Glenn Harvey Balson. Devoted mother of David Leslie Dunphy and his wife Nicole of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Christa Ann Margaret Dunphy of Calgary, Alberta, Andy Thomas Dunphy of Hamilton, Ontario, and Sarah Ann and her husband Gary Liel of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also survived by her grandchildren Brandon of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Jessica of Louisdale, and Francis of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her father Leslie Ward and brother of Eric of Ottawa. Loving daughter of Marian Ward, sister of Brenda Lovett of Campbellton, New Brunswick, Don Ward and his wife Norma of Ajax and Ralph Ward and his wife Krista of Calgary, Alberta. Originally from New Brunswick, Charlotte spent most of her life in Nova Scotia raising her 4 children until moving to Toronto in 1991. Retired employee of Securities Commission, Charlotte spent her last few years in Peterborough and Buckhorn as an active member of the Pigeon Lake Campers Association, The Buckhorn Quilter's Guild and the Buckhorn Ladies Red Hat Society. A Memorial Service will held by Reverend Jack Roberts at the HIGHLAND PARK VISITATION/RECEPTION CENTRE (2510 Bensfort Road, at River Road South, 745-6984) on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Sincere thanks to Dr. Stephan Ragaz and all the nurses at the PRHC Palliative Care Unit for all their care and concern.
