DONALDSON, SGT. W. Arthur (Art) 1924-2004 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Art Donaldson on November 10, 2004. Soul mate of 56 years of Gerda Johanna (nee Wengenroth). Beloved father of the late Hannelore (1990). Loving grandfather of Robert (Dianne). Loving brother of Norman (Georgette), Edith Partington (Norman), Beatrice Neilson, Robert, and Barbara Pannunzio (Tony). Predeceased by his brother-in-law Alfred and his sister June. He will be dearly missed by relatives and friends in Canada, the United States, England, Germany and Holland. Arthur served proud overseas in WWII with the Essex Scottish Regiment and the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. He is a life member of Legion Branch 578 and a retired member of the Independent Order of Foresters and Chairman of the Sick and Distressed Committee. Arthur will always be remembered for his sense of humour, his love of gardening and his endless stories enjoyed by all he touched. Our family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of the Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital and a very special thank you to Mary, Rose, Joyce and Linda in the ICU. He will be sadly missed by all. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 895 Ouellette Avenue (254-3223) on Saturday from 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm, Sunday 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 11:30 am. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens.
