MOORE, Raymond Edward, P. Eng. Department of Energy, Mines and Resources 1949-1988 It is with great sadness that the family announces the death on Wednesday May 24, 2006, of Raymond Moore at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus. Ray was born in Woodstock, NB, on April 30, 1926, the son of the late Leo A. Moore and the late Berthenia T. Moore (O'Connor). He was the cherished husband of fifty years of Barbara J. Moore (Mooney). Also surviving are their children Mary E. Moore (Jean-Claude Tanguay) of Toronto, Maureen G. Moore, John L. Moore (Jennifer A. Rowan), Raymond A. Moore (Nicole D.) and David P. Moore, all of Ottawa. He was predeceased by infant daughter Mary Diane in 1966. Ray is survived by his grandchildren Philippe C. Moore, Michel L. Moore, Rachel G.R. Moore and Eric D.R. Moore. Ray is also survived by his loving sister Helen M. Ross and her husband Cyril B. Ross of Woodstock, NB and their children Raymond L. Ross (Marjorie Allison-Ross) of Woodstock NB, Mary Ellen Ross (Blair Dwyer) of Victoria BC, and John J. Ross (Megan Sandel) of Brookline, MA. Ray was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, John P. Mooney (Rosemond I. Mooney), Patrick J. Mooney of Saint John, NB, and one sister-in-law, Geraldine M. Mooney of Fredericton Junction, NB. Surviving are four sisters-in-law, M. Kathleen MacDougall (the late Joseph A.), Constance T. Marr (the late Ralph B.), Gertrude M. Mooney all of Saint John, NB, and Evelyn L. Morris (Denis J.), Halifax, NS. Ray will be missed by his many relatives, friends and colleagues. Ray received his engineering studies at St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, NS and Nova Scotia Technical College, Halifax, NS. In 1957-1958, he attended The International Training School for Aerial survey, Delft, The Netherlands. In 1968-1969, he participated in studies at The National Defence College, Kingston, ON. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank) Sunday May 28, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday May 29, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday May 30, 2006, to Holy Cross Church, 685 Walkley Road, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Hope Cemetery, Ottawa,ON.
