RINO C. BRAGAGNOLO, Q.C. 1931 - 2004 It is with the deepest sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather at the Timmins and District Hospital on November 29th, 2004. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long, determined and courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Doreen (Spadoni). Loving father of three children, Paul, Peter (Sandra) and John (Vicki). He will be fondly remembered by his three loving and adorable grandchildren Carla, Rino and Nadia. Pre-deceased by his parents Maria and Giacomo Bragagnolo and brother Bob Bragagnolo. He will be missed by sister-in-law- Maggie (Bob) and their children Scott (Renee) and Bruce (Pam). Also survived by his brother Ned Bragagnolo (Sylvia), parents of Gary (Carol), Mark (Julie) and Lisa (John). Brother-in-law of Alfio Spadoni (Normande) and his four children, Deborah (Bill), Cynthia (Chris), Allen (Carrie) and Stephen. Special cousin of Clair and Esther Marchand. Rino was also a wonderful uncle to many great-nieces and nephews. Rino had a long and distinguished career having practiced law for over 45 years with the firm of Evans, Bragagnolo & Sullivan. In 1997 he was awarded the Law Society of Upper Canada’s prestigious Bicentennial Award of Merit. He was a community visionary and leader. This was exemplified by his work as a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada, a founding member of the T.D.H. Foundation Board, past president of the Porcupine Dante Club, a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, a pioneer member of Spruce Needles golf course, and various other community groups and organizations including O'Gorman High School, Cancer Care Ontario and the Moneta Recreation Club. He was very proud to have been born in Schumacher. The family wishes to thank and will be eternally grateful for the care and compassion that he received from Dr. Julie Auger and the nursing staff of T.D.H. with special thanks to the incredible team on the third floor ‘C Wing’. Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday December 2nd, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
