Lottie Eglin Grant January 04, 1909 - December 01, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) GRANT, Lottie Eglin - 95, Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage, formerly of Rockingham, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in the manor. Born January 4, 1909, in Carleton, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late Elkanah and Eunice (Mullins) Clements and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Lottie was a member of Rockingham United Church and in her younger years in Carleton, a member of Carleton Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the IODE. She met her husband in Parrsboro and traveled back and forth on the MV Kipawo to visit him. They were married for 63 years before his passing in 1996. In her later years, she always enjoyed her trips to Maine with her daughter, Joan; son-in-law, Claude and his mother Marion. Lottie is survived by son, Leonard (Valerie), Rockingham; daughter, Joan (Claude) Hemeon, Dartmouth; granddaughters, Allison Grant and Shannon (Hemeon) Publicover; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Sterling Grant; 15 brothers and sisters. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday and where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre.
