GILL, Sydney Victor, Peacefully and surrounded by his family. Syd passed away on December 1, 2004, at Versa Care Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife Rosetta of 62 years, daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Robert Stanford, son Justin and daughter-in -law Ann Marie, grandsons Morgan Stanford, Sydney and his wife Karen Stanford, granddaughters Alessandra, Francesca and Vanessa Gill, great-grandchildren Dylan and Gillian Stanford. Syd is also survived by his brother Ronald and sister-in-law Susan, as well as his sister-in-law Agnes Decker. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by his friend Oliver Anderson. Syd was predeceased by his parents Victor and Gladys Gill, his son Billie and his brothers Richard and Ja ck. Syd worked for many years at Kimberly Clarke Paper Mill, as well as the Lincoln County Board of Education. He was a member of the Merritton Volunteer Fire Department, Thorold Senior Citizens and a member of St. John's Anglican Church in Thorold. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate Syd's life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Thorold (corner of Ormond & Clairmont Sts.) on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. If so desired, donations to the rebuilding and restoration of St. John's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family, and may be made through the KARL A.
