Violet Blanche NEWMAN

ESCOTT, Violet Blanche (Vee) nee Newman Peacefully, surrounded by family on December 2, 2004 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late George Escott. Loving mother to Dr. Nicholas (Deborah Escott); Christopher (Judith Escott) and Vivien (Dr. Garry Powell). Dear grandmother to Vanessa, Jessica, Julia, Benjamin, Alexander and Sara. She is also survived by her brother Roy Newman and was predeceased by her brother George Newman. Vee was a devoted and giving mother - her family was everything to her. She eagerly anticipated each family gathering, large or small, and would celebrate being together. Stylish to the end and getting cuter every day, her indomitable spirit was an inspiration to everyone in her family. She will always be remembered as a grand and proud lady, charming everyone she met, full of generosity and blessed with a cheeky sense of humour. She loved to dance. Our special thanks to Raymond and the staff at Rideau Place, for their tender care. Sincere thanks to Dr. Marie-Claire Bujold, and the staff at the Montfort Hospital for their support and compassion.
