Perpetua KRAUSS

KRAUSS, Sister Perpetua (formerly Sister Stanislaus) entered Eternal Life on December 3, 2004 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Sedley, Saskatchewan in 1910, the daughter of the late Peter and Angelina (Wolbaum) Krauss. Sister entered the Ursulines in Vibank, Saskatchewan in 1925 and joined the Chatham Union at the time of amalgamation in 1953. She served the Ursuline Community as a homemaker in Regina, Vibank, Odessa, Claybank and St. Peter's Colony in Saskatchewan and Edmonton and Drumheller, Alberta. She came to "The Pines", Chatham when she retired in 1978. She is survived by several nieces. Pre-deceased by sisters, Elizabeth, Marie Gerein, Doris Warfield, and brothers, John, Peter, Leo, Lenard, Thomas and Frank. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Chapel at "The Pines" Chatham. The Mass of Resurection will be celebrated on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Chapel, 64 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sister Perpetua may be made to "Chatham Ursuline Charities" or to the charity of your choice.
