Reubin Edwin Nehring February 20, 1933 - December 04, 2004 Funeral arrangements by South Side Memorial Chapel It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Reubin Edwin Nehring at his home on Saturday December 4th, 2004 surrounded by his loving family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Darlene (nee Sampert); his beloved children Randall (Sharon), Reid (Catherine), Deborah (Frank ) Pirker, Robert (Bev), and Daralynne (Tony) Kovacic; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Ruth (John) Calder of Edmonton and brother Bernard (Marlayne) of Niagara Falls, Ontario; two sisters-in-law Rose of Bethlehem, PA and Marguerite of Calgary, AB; 14 nieces and nephews; Darlene’s brother Raymond (Margaret) Sampert. He was predeceased by his parents Ludwig and Hulda; and brothers Otto, Rev. Arthur, and James, and one grandson Reid James Nehring. Those wishing to pay their respect may do so on Tuesday Dec. 7, 2004 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at South Side Memorial Chapel (8310-104 Street). A celebration of Reubin’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 8th at 1:00 P.M. at the Edmonton Moravian Church, 9540 - 83rd Ave., with the Rev. Chris New officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Sherwood Park, AB. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Cross Cancer Institute. They would also like to send their gratitude to Capital Health Home Care for their care and compassion. Special thanks to the many friends and visitors for keeping Reubin in their thoughts and prayers.
