Joseph James Dent Joseph James Dent passed away on Monday, December 6, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois, in 1998. Joe was born in British Columbia and spent the early part of his life there. Joe joined the R.C.A.F. in 1943 serving in WWII until 1945. He remained in the Regular Force and retired in Winnipeg, with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Joe was a very active sportsman, playing most every game. He had a passion for golf. Other interests besides golf, were oil painting, music and a deep love for animals. He is survived by his son Jim (His best friend) and wife Joan of Steinbach, Manitoba; two grand children, Jamie and wife Sharon of Regina, and Jason of Ottawa, also left to mourn is his sister Isabel Ferguson of Vernon, British Columbia; one brother Robert and wife Corrine of Richmond, British Columbia, also other nieces and nephews and many special friends at Tuxedo Golf Course and the Golf Dome, and neighbours. Special thanks to Dr. I.R.A. Smart of the Charleswood Medical Centre for his care, hope, and inspiration, and extention to his life span. At Joe’s request there will be no memorial service. Cremation and family internment has been held. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, 982-8100.
