FIANDER, Maxwell Owen July 8, 1925 - December 6, 2004 Merchant Marine, Tugboat Skipper and Harbour Pilot. Maxwell was a man of enormous dignity, humour and comfort who passed away as he lived - with great grace and inspiring strength. Maxwell, beloved husband, father and grandfather is waiting for his family on a schooner alongside Belleoram. He leaves behind Effie Eilleen Elizabeth, the source of his strength, the love of his life and his first mate. He leaves behind his three children and crew - Maxwell, Scott, Deborah, Shelley, Kathy, Matthew and Pierre - his brothers and sisters, Russell, Pearl, Otto, Verna, Allan, Rita, Nita and loving friends Doe, Nita, Alfred, Frank and Pierre. We are all so fortunate to have known him and to have been a part of his life. He loved us all. We all love him. He inspired us in life and so he continues.
