OSGOOD , Kim It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kim Osgood on May 6, 2009 at the age of 51, after a two month battle with cancer. Kim is survived by her husband Dean, two beautiful, loving daughters, Jacqueline and Audra, her mother Gwen Park, sisters Jerry Olsen and Peggy (Kevin) Kelly, brother-in-law John Fode, father-in-law Gordon Osgood, brother-in-law Glenn (Janice) Osgood, as well as many nieces and nephews that were dear to her. Kim was predeceased by her father Jack Park, sister Gwenith Fode, and mother-in-law Muriel Osgood. Kim was a very down to earth, warm, loving and caring person who loved life. She always had a cheerful, optimistic outlook on life, had a great sense of humour, and was someone who took great pleasure from the life she lived. Kim was fun to be with, she was easy to be friends with, she was easy to love. Kim was born and raised in Medicine Hat, attending M.H.H.S. before moving to Calgary to obtain her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary. Kim was a very dedicated, caring teacher in the Calgary Public School system for almost thirty years. She loved being in the classroom and enjoyed finding the uniqueness in each student. Kim was a well loved and respected teacher, forming many close friendships with fellow teachers and parents of her students. Kim also enjoyed being a "Soccer Mom", enjoyed the camaraderie of the other soccer moms and loved traveling with the players and parents to various tournaments. The most important thing in Kim's life was her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family, the highlights being the various family vacations they enjoyed together. She enjoyed seeing her daughters grow and develop into wonderful young women, knowing the part she played in their lives. She took great pride in her daughter's achievements and how they carried themselves. Kim was also a wonderful daughter and loving sister who loved family gatherings with her sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. Kim will be very deeply missed by her family and friends. Many thanks to the staff and nurses on Unit 42B of the Foothills Medical Center, the staff and nurses at the Agape Hospice, Dr. Martin LaBrie, Jillian McDonald, and Shirley Tuinenga. Special thanks to Dr. Linda Fong for the loving care and attention given to Kim. Sincere thanks to all our friends, colleagues, and relatives who have provided overwhelming support over the last two months.
