Mr. Zoel Joseph Martin, husband of Cathy Martin, of the Bay du Vin River Road, Bay du Vin, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, on Friday, April 24, 2009, at the age of 59. Born in Chatham, on April 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward and Emilda (Martin) Martin. He was a former employee of the Dept. of Transportation (NB) and a former fisherman. He was an adherent of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin. He is survived by his wife, the former Cathy Adams; one son, Tony Martin, of Miramichi; five sisters, Martina Richard (Ernest), of Baie St. Anne, Eleonore Savoie (Alderick), of Baie St. Anne, Ledwine Theriault (Jules), of Moncton, Francine Blakely, of Baie St. Anne, Rejeanne Martin (Zoel Roy), of Baie St. Anne; three brothers, Rodolph Martin, of St. Louis de Kent, Valeri Martin (Boneita), of Baie St. Anne, Edouard Martin (Charlene), of Baie St. Anne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Odette McIntyre; two brothers, Adonis and Jean Paul Martin. By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family memorial service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Capt. Rose Steeves. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
