Mary Margaret SMITH

Mary Margaret Hughes Mary Margaret Hughes of the Briarlea Home, Moncton, formerly of Petitcodiac, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 92. Born August 1, 1912 in Elgin, she was a daughter of the late G. William and Lulu (MacKenzie) Smith. She was a homemaker, a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, a life member of the W.M.S., a life member of the Women's Institute, and Petitcodiac Senior Citizens. She is survived by sons, Michael (Stella) of Ottawa, ON, Dr. William (Elaine) of Grimsby, ON; sister, Carol Bartol (John) of Nova Scotia; brothers, Kenneth Smith of Riverview, Edwin Smith (Agnes) of Moncton, Walter Smith (Alice) of Vancouver, Harold Smith (Winnie) of Riverside, and Winston Smith (Eileen) of Ottawa, ON; four grandchildren, Karen Foti (Andrew), James (Angela), Timothy, and Adam; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank P.; sisters, Edna and Dorothy; brothers, George and Robert. Resting at Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, NB, with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 2pm, Rev. G. Cook and Rev. J. Bartol officiating. Burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery.
