RISK, Duncan - In loving memory of Duncan Risk, 83 years, Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Extendicare York, following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Genevieve Risk (deceased 1997). Loving father of Carol Ledingham (husband John) of Naughton, Robert of Lively, Jane Kennedy (husband Michael) of St. Thomas and Donald (wife Linda) of Lively. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Peter, Darren, Valerie, Brittany, Sarah, Stephanie and Nicholas. Dear son of the late Jeanne and Duncan Risk of North Bay. Dear brother of the late William (wife Sally) of Austrilia, Catherine Lentine (husband Joseph) of Toronto, Jack (wife Cynthia) of Calgary, Robert (wife Beverly) of North Bay and Jean Barry (Risk) of North Bay. Born in North Bay, he married Genevieve McLeod in 1947, after serving in the Second World War with the Irish Regiment. He worked for Loblaws until moving to Sudbury in 1950 to work for Inco, retiring in 1978. He then worked as a security guard for Cambrian College for a few years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, picking blueberries, playing cards and watching sports on television. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who could tell great fishing tales about the ones that got away. At Mr. Risk's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation. Donation to the Cancer Center or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
