STEARNS, Bruce Allen Peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta. He was 80. Born on June 27, 1927 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Bruce grew up and resided in Calgary. He is survived by his wife Helen, sons Bryan and Cameron, daughters Caryn, Barbara and Laurie; daughters-in-law Linda and Debbie; son-in-law Pat; grandchildren Maury, Leslie-Ann, Jaimee, Jonathon, Joel and Tyler; and his great-granddaughter Zeppy. Bruce will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all. He is predeceased by his parents, Harry Guy and Barbara Edna and his brother Claude (Max) and another brother who passed away at a very young age. Bruce was an entrepreneur who started and ran different businesses in Calgary. He had great humanity, a wonderful curiosity for life and a great sense of humour. He loved travelling the many back roads to the small towns of southern Alberta where he made many friends. Bruce enjoyed the company of the many friends he made at the Forest Lawn Co-op coffee shop. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held in his memory on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Glenmore Inn in the Ogden Room (2720 Glenmore Trail S.E., Calgary, AB).
