KIRTON, Pearl Aileen (Johnnie) - Mrs. Pearl Kirton died peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2004 at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital after a long illness, she was in her 83rd year. Pearl (Merriam) is remembered by her beloved husband, Lawrence John Kirton of Arnstein, daughters Robena Kirton (Michael White) of Gravenhurst and Patricia Kirton-Bailey (Stuart Bailey) of North Bay and her grandchildren Helen and Richard Bailey. Pearl is survived by her sisters May Merriam of Gravenhurst and Robena Ritchie of Ottawa and was predeceased by her brother Henry and Rupert Merriam and sister Eve Merriam. The family wishes to thank the staff of 3A at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital for the special care they provided over the past few years. Friends may visit with the family at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan on Wednesday December 15th from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Reverend Jane Howe will conduct the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow. If desired, donations may be made in Pearl's memory to the Alzheimer's Society, the St. Andrew's United Church (North Bay) Operating Fund or the Gravenhurst Public Library.
