Mr. John Lauchie McDonald 22, 1928 - December 11, 2004 Funeral arrangements by V J McGilivray Funeral Homes (Glace Bay) JOHN “LAUCHIE” MCDONALD 1928 – 2004 GLACE BAY It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Lauchie McDonald age 76 of Glace Bay. John passed away Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Lauchie and Jessie McDonald. In his younger years John was an avid follower of sports and politics. He was a friend to many around the Glace Bay area. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He will be sadly missed by his nephew, Gerry (Barb) McDonald, nieces, Annette (Bill) George and Sharalyn (Mike) Nolan, several grand nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his very special friends whom he considered family, Hubert and Gail Jones. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by a brother, Charles, sister, Christina and niece, Maureen. At John’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 11 a.m., V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Fr.
