CONTE, Marguerite Gray (nee Smart) - Peacefully, succumbing to cancer, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday, December 11, 2004 in her 75th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur. Marge will be greatly missed by her loving son Jim and his wife Charlene, loving and caring son David, and loving daughter Debbie Fillion, and her husband John. A doting and very proud grandma of Jacquie, Jay, Justin and Celine. Dear sister of Jim Smart and his wife Jean, the late Bob Smart, and his wife Veronica and nephews; Bob, Dan and Rick. Predeceased by her parents James and Margaret Smart. Marge was a gifted singer in her youth, a founding and lifetime member of the Grater Niagara Baseball Association's Ladies Auxiliary. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave., on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30-2:30 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will immediately follow in the chapel on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. To honour Marge's memory, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
