Albert "Ray" Raymond Martin July 21, 1926 - December 12, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully, on December 12, 2004, Ray passed away at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 78 years. Ray was predeceased by his parents Albert (1965) and Alma (1989) Martin; first wife Marie Therese (1977); second wife Marion (1996); sister Yvonne (2002); and son Ron (2004). He is survived by his daughter-in-law Betty; granddaughters Lisa (Dennis) Martin and Kimberley (Darren) Buchannon; great-grandchildren Chandler and Corbin; brothers Vernon (Betty-Ann) and Don (Laura); special friend Eileen Brooks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ray was born in Rocanville, SK and grew up in Winnipeg. He worked as a Telegraph Boy at the C.P.R. and following that, worked at Deer Lodge Hospital as an Engineer for over 30 years. Albert was a member of the Prince Edward Legion #81. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff of Deer Lodge Hospital for their care. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment and reception will follow. Pallbearers will be Darren Buchannon, Leo Dupuis, Blair Darragh, Dennis Meaden, Fred Nykyforuk, and Don Swaffer. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Ray's memory to the Fire Fighter's Burn Fund, 303-83 Garry Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9.
