URIE, Geraldine "Gerry" After a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 12, 2004. Beloved mother of Stephen of Ottawa and Susan Lynne (Todd Taranov) of British Columbia. Loving grandmother of Bayley Taranov. Predeceased by her beloved mother Nina and her father John Foreman. Gerry was a long time and dedicated employee of Jack May Pontiac-Buick and an active and devoted curler and golfer. Gerry will be missed by her many friends at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club. The family would like to thank the staff at Thorncliffe Retirement Home for their gentle and considerate care during the past few weeks. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service to be held in the chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
