MITCHELL, Cecil Gilbert "Gordon" - Peacefully at Centennial Place on December 13, 2004 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Winnifred "Hazel" Mitchell (nee Walsh). Loving father to Sue (Kirby) Hannan of Whitby and Beverley (David) Harvey of Fonthill. Grandfather to David (Maricris Eduarte) Hannan of Mississauga. Predeceased by his parents James and Winnifred Mitchell and his sisters Marjorie Stavert and Joyce Mitchell. Gordon was a World War II Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and a member of the Peterborough Naval Association. Retired employee of Imperial Oil Ltd after 42 years. A Private Service will take place at Nisbett Funeral Home and Chapel (600 Monaghan Rd. S., Peterborough). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre "Kidney Dialysis Unit" or the charity of your choice.
