Ellen Bernice Doerksen September 29, 1915 - December 14, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Calgary) Mrs. Bernice Doerksen of Calgary passed away at the Extendicare Hillcrest Nursing Home on December 14, 2004 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her devoted husband Ike, a daughter Darlene (Ken) Fach, a son Glenn (Claudia) Doerksen, six grandchildren, their spouses and eight great grandchildren. Born in Morse, Saskatchewan she and Ike moved to Calgary in 1948. She was a long time member of First Church of the Nazarene. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Hillcrest for their dedicated care over the last four years. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, December 17 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Leyden's Funeral Home, 304 18th Avenue SW. Services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene, 65 Richard Way SW on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend Terry Fach officiating.
