SHIPLEY, Janet Gwenn “Jan“ Shipley - Passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, June 19, 2009 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Earl Shipley (1990). Dear mother of Rene Rodgers of Little Britain, Nancy and David Harris of Bond Head, Kathy and Kevin Westlake of Omemee. Loving Gram of Alison (Brent) Dearling, Ben Rodgers, Lauren Harris, Brittany and Earl Westlake. Dear sister of Irma Engler of Buffalo. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Jan was a Life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #129 Haliburton and was a very active member of the Haliburton Untied Church. Friends are invited to visit the family at the GORDON A. MONK FUNERAL HOME LTD. 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0 on Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday from 4:00 until 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service for Jan will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow. A Reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #129 in Haliburton. Interment will take place at the Englehart Cemetery, Englehart on Friday morning at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #129 Haliburton or to the Haliburton United Church would be appreciated by the family.
