DESFORGES, Patrick - d'Ottawa est décédé paisiblement entouré de sa famille le vendredi 12 juin 2009, à l'âge de 32 ans. Il était le tendre époux de Melissa Desforges (Schwartz); le fier et affectueux père de Julia Claire (2 ans) et Wesley Patrick (3 mois); le fils adoré de Michel et Francine Desforges; le gendre de Lynn Schwartz (feu Herb); le frère de Karine (Benjamin Chadwick), le beau-frère de Jennifer (Larry Robertson) et Steven (Susan Hubert) et l'oncle bien-aimé de Gabrielle Chadwick et Graeme Schwartz. Lui survivent: sa grand-mère paternelle, Berthe McCulloch (feu Elie Desforges); sa grand-mère maternelle, Pauline Bernard (feu Rolland) et sa grand-mère par alliance, Pearl Berry (feu Charles) ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines et amis(es). Sa famille étant la plus grande passion de sa vie, il était néanmoins un fier partisan de sport particulièrement de hockey et de golf. Il était un gardien de but talentueux, loyal partisan du Canadien de Montréal et membre du Club de Golf Outaouais. Son intérêt pour les sciences l'a conduit à une carrière en tant que professeur respecté en biotechnologie à la Cité Collégiale pendant les 7 dernières années. Brother of Karine (Benjamin Chadwick) and brother-in-law of Jennifer Schwartz (Larry Robertson) and Steven Schwartz (Susan Hubert). Loving uncle to Gabrielle Chadwick and Graeme Schwartz. Survived by his paternal grandmother, Berthe McCulloch (late Elie Desforges), maternal grandmother, Pauline Bernard (late Rolland Bernard) and grandmother by marriage, Pearl Berry (late Charles Berry). Fondly remembered by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. While Pat's greatest passion in life was his family, he was also a true sports fan, particularly of hockey and golf. He was a talented goaltender, loyal fan of the Montreal Canadiens and a proud member of the Club de Golf Outaouais in Rockland, Ontario. His keen interest in science led him to his career as a respected professor of biotechnology at La Cite collegiale, where he spent the past 7 years. The funeral service will follow at the St-Alphonse-de-Liguori Church in Hawkesbury on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment at St-Alphonse cemetery in Hawkesbury, Ontario.
