Sydney "Jim" James Forester November 08, 1933 - December 16, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mr. Jim Forester, aged 71 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 16, 2004 with his family at his side. Born in Fort William, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Forester and Jim received his education at Franklin School and Vocation School. He joined the air force in 1950 and served four years in Europe with the Canadian Forces. He was also based in B.C., Alberta, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Jim was discharged in 1970. He then worked as a school crossing guard and night man at Beacon Hill Lodge until failing health prevented him from working any longer. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and caring friend. Jim loved his dogs Perky, Missy and lastly Angel. His pockets were always filled with cookies for all the dogs along his and Angels walks and he new the names of all the dogs in the area. Jim loved chatting with the neighbours. If he could help in any way he did. Jim is survived by Angel, his brother Ray Forester and his wife Dorothy and family in Kingston, his sister Dorothy Dillabough and family in Thunder Bay. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by his father Charles, step-father Sam Judge, mother Irene Judge, brother-in-law Harold Dillabough and uncles and aunts. At his request, there will be no service and interment will be take place at a later date. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to S.P.C.A., Paws or the Animal Shelter.
