UNSWORTH, George Frederick June 24, 1917 - December 16, 2004 Retired - Carson Body Repairs Peacefully, and surrounded by family, after a period of illness. Devoted and loving husband for 51 years, of Shirley Bethell. Much loved father of Susan, Robert (Shelley) and Michael (Cheryl). Cherished Poppy of Lisa, Brandon, Caitlin, and Ashley. Survived by sister Winnie (Mrs. John Larch), brother-in-law of Jack Bethell, Joan Clouthier and Sheila Unsworth. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Jane Unsworth and brothers Orr, Walter, Canon, Carson and sister Bertha Jones. Retired from Carson's Body Repair Ltd., after many loyal years. Served as a lance corporal in WWII. George will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Dr. John Seely of the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus), Samara Lawrence of We Care Home Health Services, Dr. Barry Bruce, Dr. Susan Gick and staff of Elisabeth Bruyere Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Elizabeth Bruyere Health Centre would be greatly appreciated. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean between Bayshore and Baseline Road on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A family funeral service will be held Monday with cremation to follow at Cadieux Tubman Crematorium.
