Brian Patrick Wade January 22, 1982 - 2009 Brian passed away suddenly at his residence in Halifax on Sunday, May 24th. Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Graham and Peggy (Dupuis) Wade. He is survived by his parents and a sister Jocelyn of Calgary, Alberta. Brian was also predeceased by an older brother, Mark Andrew who died in infancy, also many uncles; aunts and cousins who thought the sun rose and set in him. Brian graduated from Miramichi Valley High School in 2000 and received his degree from Mount Allison University in 2006. He was employed as a marketing distributor for Karic Sales Ltd. Red Bull in Dartmouth, NS. Brian's life was much too short but his years were truly blessed in many ways. Brian's ability to make friends began at a very early age. He was a caring and loving person who felt compelled to look after those less fortunate, or who needed a smiling face and a helping hand. His legion of friends, both male and female began in pre-school as toddlers. His charm and witty remarks were uplifting to his family and friends. As a young boy, Brian enjoyed hockey and baseball was a avid Red Sox fan, along with Dad and sister "Joc". Many phone calls were made to celebrate the Red Sox success or to input solutions as to their latest slump. It was at Mount Allison that Brian began to discover his true passions; music writing and film making. He believed he needed to create some expression of himself if he were to contribute. His short stories, essays, and a short film entry into the Sackville Film Festival was a beginning legacy. Visitation was at Davidson's Funeral Home, May 26th - 27th. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 28th at 11:00 am with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Other priests in attendance: Father Vincent Donovan, Father Leon Creamer, Father Douglas McNeill, Father Peter Stephen, Father David Fulton, Father David Martin and Father Jacques Landry. Readers: Ned Manderson and Trudy Walsh, Intercessions: Adem Campbell and Mark Lasanowski. Eulogy: Jonathan Hudson. Music: St. Mary's Choir, also Dr. Carl Hudson, on keyboard with soloist Damien Alexander, and sam Nijjer, Guitarist. Pallbearers: Jonathan Hudson, Matthew Russell, Kiley Daley, Adem Campbell, Zachary Dalton, Johnny Walsh. Following Brian's interment, St Mary's Bereavement Ministry hosted a reception for all in the Parish Centre. In Brian's memory, donations were made to St. Mary's Capital Campaign, St. Mary's Restoration Fund, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Miramichi Hospital Campaign, Canadian Cancer Society, Children's Wish Foundation, Stewart Graham Memorial Fund.
