Gladwyn Peterson Young, 90, of River Bank, NB, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Central Carleton Nursing Home, Hartland, NB. Gladwyn was born in Lower Mill Stream, NB, son of the late Rev. Charles and Helena (Peterson) Young. Gladwyn is survived by his wife Erma (London) Young, River Bank, NB, daughter, Marjorie Lyon (Murray), Moncton, NB, sons; Evan (Trudy), Saint John, NB, Michael (Linda), Ancaster, ON, Graydon, Florenceville, NB, Larry (Carolyn), Houlton, ME, Lynwood (Joan), Moncton, NB, Ronald (Sheila), Hamilton, ON, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, cousin, Dorothy Morgan, Woodstock, NB, several nieces, nephews. Gladwyn was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, Gladwyn was predeceased by a daughter, Loretta Grace Young, sisters; Charlotte and Shirley. Visitation was held at The Florenceville Baptist Church 167 Burnham Road Florenceville, NB on Sunday, May 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service was held on Monday, May 25 from the Florenceville Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating at 2 PM. Interment was in the Lower Florenceville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial of the donor's choice.
