Hilda Ms. Watson age 95, passed away May 17, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. She was born in Nackawic, the daughter of Warren and Almeda Moores. She resided in the Woodstock area from the age of seventeen. She married Jack Watson and resided in Upper Woodstock until moving to Woodstock in 1947, and remained in her home until her death. She was a life long member of St. Luke's Anglican Church where she was a member of St. Luke's Guild and the Anglican Church Women. She is survived by daughters Marion Robinson (Carl) and Pam Smart (John); Grandchildren, Elizabeth Gallant (Barry) Greg Robinson, Lynn McKinley (Chris) Lisa McKinley (Sheldon) Dick Monteith (Carrie) Andrew Smart, Brad Smart (Mary) Katie Smart (Nathan); Great grandchildren Danielle and Jonathan Gallant, Melissa Dukeshire, Cally and Jack McKinley, Makayla Chase, Brooke and Cody McKinley, Elisha, Courtney, Amy, Emma and Morgan Monteith; Great great grandchildren: Natalie and Haley Michaud, Izaiha Monteith; niece Marguerite Murray (Tom) and Bud Lee (Treva). She took great interest in all her "children" providing dinners for each as they progressed through middle school and provided each household with cookies, brown bread or squares. She loved to cook and bake. No visitor left without a lunch. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, brothers Hedley and Murray, sisters Violet and Ruby, granddaughter Catherine Monteith. Funeral service was held May 20, 2009 from St. Luke's Anglican Church with Rev. Chris Hayes officiating, Layreader was Kim Rae-Niles & St. Luke's Choir and soloist Andrea Anderson provided the music. Songs sung were "Prayer of St. Francis" & "Be Not Afraid" & "Spirit of the Living God" & "O God, Unseen Yet Every Near". Sandra Culberson was the organist. Granddaughter Lisa McKinley gave the Reflection Pallbearers were Dick Monteith, Andrew and Brad Smart, Jonathan Gallant, Cody and Jack McKinley. Following a Private Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, Lower Woodstock, NB the Watson family met at the parish hall for refreshments and a time to share memories.
