Owen Eugene Murray On Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Upper River Valley Hospital, of Woodstock, N.B. passed away at the age of 82 years. Born at Woodstock, NB, January 29, 1927 to the late Donald and Alma (Blackmore) Murray, Owen did farm work in the area and was employed by the Department of Transportation for 31 years, a member of St. Gertrude's parish and an active member of the K of C for several years. He is survived by his wife Jean (Bell) Murray of 43 years, children Todd and Debbie Murray, sister, Betty McAulay (Garth), Woodstock, brothers, Donald Murray (Sylvia), Houlton, ME, Martin Murray (Elaine), Mapledale, N.B., special aunt Edna (Skip) Prosser, sister-in-laws Shirley, Ronda and Hilda Murray, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents. Owen was predeceased by brothers; Leo, Tommy, Joe Murray and an infant sister, Mary Theresa Murray. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 10th at 11:00 am from St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, Woodstock, N.B. with Father Brian Wetmore officiating with interment at the Calvary Cemetery.
