The death of Mr. Perry Lewis Crain, of Centreville, occurred on July 4, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. Born on May 2, 1920, he was the son of the late Joseph and Iva (Grant) Crain. Perry is survived by his wife, Mae Hynes; daughter, Sylvia Tompkins (Peter) of Royalton, NB; grandchildren, Natasha Somerville (Jason) and Travis Tompkins; five great-grandchildren, Brendan, Ethan, Devan, Zaidan and Jordan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Perley Crain; two sisters, Sylvia Smith and Margaret Ward. Visitation was held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville on Monday, July 6th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Bob Allaby officiated. Interment took place in the Tracey Mills Cemetery. A reception followed the interment at the Faith Memorial United Church on the Burnham Road.
