Phyllis Anne TOOPE

Mrs. Phyllis Anne McLaughlin, wife of Lawrence (Larry) McLaughlin of 585 Anderson Street, Miramichi, who passed away Tuesday morning June 30th, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 63. Born in St John's, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Phyllis (Mills) Toope. She was a retired RN at Miramichi Regional Hospital. She was a member of the United Church. Besides her husband Larry, she is survived by two daughters; Sharon Stacey (Cecil) of Petawawa, Ontario; Karen Melville (Todd) of Peterborough Ontario; one sister; June Ascenzo of Markham Ontario; two brothers; Don Toope of St John's Newfoundland; Randy Toope (Mary) of Cobourg, Ontario; five grandchildren; Erin and Sarah Stacey and Aidan, Tristan and Claire Melville. Mrs. Phyllis Anne McLaughlin rested at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service was held Friday, July 3rd, 2009 at 11 am from Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Fraser officiating, assisted by Sister Isabel. Organist was Shirley Estey. Congregational hymns were "All People Who on Earth do Dwell", "God Be with You", "Abide with Me" and "May Flights of Angels Lead You". Burial will be in Miramichi Cemetery. At the request of the family in Phyllis memory, donations to Miramichi Regional Hospital Pediatric Dept., or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
