Frank LEBLANC

Frank Joseph LeBlanc It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Joseph LeBlanc on June 17, 2009 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, with his wife and family by his bedside. Frank was born in Newcastle, NB on the 15th of June 1936, son of the late Marcel and Delia (Daigle) LeBlanc. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Medora (Girouard) LeBlanc, two sons; John Paul of Tottenham, ON, Frankie Jr. of Hamilton, ON, one daughter; Elsie McEvoy of Washago, ON, two granddaughters; Kathleen McEvoy of Guelph, ON, Nicole of Brantford, ON, two grandsons; Derek, Jason (Jennifer) LeBlanc of Toronto & two great granddaughters Chloe & Nevaeh of ON. Frank is also survived by brother Gerald LeBlanc and sister Florine Goodin of Newcastle, NB and brother Marcel Jr (Josephine) LeBlanc of Ottawa, ON & numerous nieces & nephews and also his beloved pet "Our Cat Tears", who he dearly loved. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by one brother Louis. Frank was loved and will be missed by all who knew him, always cracking a joke here & there, one never knew what he would say next. He spent some fun times singing at the music jams with Anthony Allain, but his passion was being a "Trucker", driving truck from transports to gravel trucks. He would be so happy behind the wheel of a big truck & he loved driving just driving anywhere. Frank & his wife would take off for a drive, never knew where they would end up, not too many roads, they haven't been on. Just driving for the pure pleasure of seeing the countryside, up until his final moments he had asked to be taken for one more ride. In Frank's teen-age years he worked for his Dad in the wood camps, driving his Dad's truck cutting & hauling pulp wood to the local mills. Frank moved away from the Miramichi in 1955, married in Toronto, ON raising his family and held different service station & driving positions over the years, till he was offered a position with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario Mimico Yard, held that position for 18 dedicated years. His last position with them was being an Emergency Patrolman, where he would give assistance to motorist broken down on the Express Highways in and around Metro Toronto. He loved that job and did it well. He retired from the Ministry (MTO) in 1998 to move back to his birthplace in the Miramichi. Bought his sister's Florine's house to reside in (Nelson) Miramichi. He said of our house (our mansion on the hill), but he always longed to go back to Ontario. Funeral arrangements were by Bell's & Meadow's Funeral Home 651 King George Highway, Newcastle, NB. Visitation was on June 19, 2009. Memorial service with Fr. Jim McQuade officiating was on June 20, 2009 in the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel. Eulogy written about his dad and read by John Paul LeBlanc and a reading by Frank's wife, taken from an album of poems and scriptures from Fr. Jim McQuade, orgainst was Jacqueline Allain who sang our favorite songs (Thank You). As Frank was being wheeled away a song by George Jones was being played (He stopped loving her today). Pallbearers were John Paul LeBlanc, Frankie LeBlanc Jr. Royce Clark, Neil Arsenault, Anthony Allain and Ambrose MacDonald. In Frank's memory donations were made to The Canadian Cancer Society, Miramichi Palliative Care, SPCA, Alzheimers or charity of one's choice, numerous floral tributes, mass cards, cards of sympathy were received from relatives & friends. Cremation by Sunset Crematorium. His ashes to be taken back to Ontario to be buried at a later date. Rest in Peace Frank, we love you though you're gone, you will not be forgotten.
