Donald MORRELL

The passing of Donald Morrell of Morrell Siding, NB occurred on June 24th, 2009 by accident in Morrell Siding at the age of 73. Born in Morrell, NB on April 16th, 1936, he was the son of the late Raymond and Geneva (Downing) Morrell. Don worked for 40 yrs for CP Rail retiring in 1996 as a Locomotive Engineer. Don leaves behind his sister, Beatrice (Milford) McLaughlin of Morrell Siding, brother Carl (Greta) Morrell of Aroostook, sister Ruth (Victor) Everett of Aroostook, brother Wayne (Doris) Morrell of Montreal, sister Shirley (Gary) Price of Morrell Siding. Several nieces and nephews. Don loved spending time at his cottage on the Tobique. Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 27th at 11am from Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Aroostook with Father Gilbert Doddatto as Celebrant. The readings were done by Cindy Jensen, Lindsay Everett and Kendra McLaughlin. The eulogy was given by Wayne Morrell. Pallbearers were Allen Everett, Randy Gallagher, Billy McLaughlin, Mike McLaughlin, Marty Price and Kevin McLaughlin with interment in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
