Matthew Sigmund Lomer Gigler December 22, 1981 - December 20, 2004 Suddenly at Joseph Brant Hospital on Monday evening, December 20, 2004, in his 23rd year (born December 22, 1981). Beloved and cherished only son of Sigmund Jr. and Christine Gigler. Protective "big brother" to Melissa Gigler, partner to Kristy Ferreira, and new daddy to baby Jacob Matthew Gigler. Special grandson to Rita Roy and Sigmund Gigler Sr., nephew to Dennis and Lynda Roy, Ginette and Dennis McGilvery, Nicole and Dave Farrington, and Michael Roy. Will be missed by his many cousins and friends. A constant playmate of the family dog, Skippy. Matt -- we'll miss your smiling grin! Predeceased by his Oma, Hermina Gigler (1994) and his Papa, Lomer Roy (2003). We know that they will look after Matthew now. We entrust him into your care. Matthew was a former student of Westdale Secindary and St. Mary's schools in Hamilton. He enjoyed playing soccer, watching hockey, and playing computer games. He was also an avid reader and gardener. Family will receive friends at the KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil for Matthew at 8:30 p.m. A private family Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2004 with private cremation to follow.
