BOUCHARD, Maureen (nee Gethings). At the age of sixty-nine and after an amazingly courageous battle with cancer, Maureen passed away on December 21, 2004 at home in Ottawa with her loved ones. She was the most beloved mother of Jean Marc Bouchard (Tiffany Ryan) and Joanne Brear (Jaimieson Brear) and an adoring and proud grandmother to Annica and Janik and "baby to be Brear". Sister of the late Harold, Earl (Sylvia), the late John (Mariette) and Ralph (Judy). Maureen was an elementary school teacher for much of her life but the gifts and lessons she left to all who knew her will be her legacy. Maureen's life and determination will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Goodbye sweet girl, you will be missed. Visitation at Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella), on Thursday, December 23, 2004 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Thomas More, 980 Moffat Avenue, Verdun, on Friday, December 24, 2004 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5151 de l'Assomption Blvd., Mtl, Qc, H1T 4A9, or to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, 4200 St. Laurent Blvd., #908, Mtl, Qc, H2W 2R2, would be appreciated.
